IT’S GOALS GALORE IN TROSTRE WIN

AFC proved too strong for visiting Ynysmeudwy Athletic, winning 12-0 in the third round of the West Wales Intermedia­te Cup.

Striker Liam Jones scored five of the goals, and there was a hat-trick for Dan Anderson.

Jamie Jenkins chipped in with a couple of goals, and there was one each for Chris Williams and Jonny Thomas.

But Dafen failed to find the net in a 2-0 defeat at home to Giants Grave.

Merlins Bridge were also goal shy in the 4-0 loss against visiting Ynystawe Athletic, while Fishguard Sports crashed 3-2 at home to Glais.

The home team were awarded two penalties, both converted by Niall Kinsella.

It has been a tough season for bottom club CK Swiss Valley, who suffered a ninth defeat in ten outings when going down 6-2 away to Seven Sisters Onllwyn in the West Wales Premier League.

Striker Adam Campbell capped an outstandin­g display with a hat-trick for the home team.

There were also goals for Christian Elkins, Steffan Jenkins and Ross Newell.

At the other end of the table, leaders Penlan Club kept their unbeaten record intact with an impressive 4-1 win at home to Mumbles Rangers.

In the Premier division of the Carmarthen­shire League, Trallwm stay bottom after a 7-1 defeat at Loughor Rovers.

Striker Darian Burt fired in a hattrick, and also on target for Loughor were Dave Mcewan (2), Jordan Smyth and Muike Grimwade.

The programme in division one was badly affected by Covid and the weather, but Pwll Athletic managed to beat both.

Pwll closed the gap on leaders Felinfoel to six points following a 6-1 win against Llandovery Town.

Four of the goals were shared equally between Ian Williams and Daniel Harding, while Kevin Evans and Mike Morgan grabbed one each.

The visitors battled to the final whistle and were rewarded with a goal from Alan Brown.

Drefach beat Bancffosfe­len 3-1. Jordan Thomas scored a penalty, with Chris Gregory and Chris Amos also on target.

West End United beat Pontarddul­ais Town Reserves 3-0 in division two. James Doel scored two and Morgan Kearney also netted.

Liam Thomas scored a second-half hat-trick as Drefach Reserves beat Seaside Reserves 10-2 in reserve division one.

Drew Hawkins (2), Lewys Jones (2), John Price, Dan Bush and Iestyn Davies also scored.

There was a major surprise in reserve division three when leaders Bwlch Rangers lost their unbeaten record 5-4 at home to FC Carmarthen.

The victory was thoroughly deserved, Lewis Byng leading the charge with two well-taken goals for FC Carmarthen. Dean Oliver, Osian Thomas and Dan Thomas scored a goal each to secure the points.

Leading 7-1 at half-time, Caerbryn Reserves strolled to a 10-1 win against visiting Llandeilo Town Reserves. Striker Owen Flowers was again in the thick of the action with five of the goals.

There was also a hat-trick for Lewis Rees, plus goals for Ben Morgan and Quinlan Tomlinson.
