Forthcomin­g events The months are flying by and there are many and varied events to look forward to throughout the summer. First date for your diaries is the Platinum Jubilee party on the multi-use games area on the Morfa. Suitable for all ages with competitio­ns, music through the decades. Bring your own refreshmen­ts and let your hair down. It will start at 2pm and finish at 6pm. Two other popular events in June are the mock mayor’s mystery tour on Saturday 18th, and the following week on Saturday 25th is the picnic in the castle with musical entertainm­ent. The much-missed Fiesta week starts on Sunday, July 31, and each evening there will be something to attract you from a coffee evening/bring and buy, bingo, quiz night, a walking treasure hunt followed by cawl and on Friday, August 5, the mock mayor election will be held in the memorial hall. Saturday, August 6, is carnival day with fun sports on the Morfa, barbecue on the Square and the Llansteffa­n’s Got Talent in the hall to follow. On Sunday, August 7, there will be a beach church service at 10.30am. Add to this the three-day historical exhibition and all tastes are catered for. Flyers will be circulated in mid-june.
