The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations Saturday, June 4 – based in the church hall and Victoria Park, afternoon and evening events – for details see local posters and Facebook pages. Brechfa Community Shop/bryn Stores Current normal opening hours weekdays and Saturdays 7am to 1pm, closed Sundays. Anyone self-isolating/shielding locally can arrange for doorstep delivery or shop-door pick-up by ringing 01267 202333 between 10am and noon or by dropping in a list with their requirements and contact details.
Church in Wales services For St Teilo’s in Brechfa, services are at 11am on every Sunday apart from Sunday, May 15, when Communion will be at 2pm. On Sunday, May 22, the service at 11am will be morning prayer At St Michael’s, Llanfihangel Rhos y Corn, the normal pattern of services is the first Sunday at 2.30pm and the third Sunday at 9.30am, however on Sunday, May 15, the service is at 3.15pm with Holy Communion followed by refreshments in the church hall. The church is open in the day so come up and admire the creative talent of the window decorations. The monthly Pilgrim Service continues at Llanfihangel at 6pm on the 2nd Wednesday of the month so the next one is on May 11, both in the church and hopefully on Zoom or streaming through our Facebook page. The next monthly Quiet Space session at Llanfihangel is on Saturday, May 28, from 2pm. Forthcoming services are listed on the Facebook pages for each church.
