THE December meeting took place a week earlier, on the last day of November, but a Christmas celebration was enjoyed by those present. It was also noted that the county carol service was to take place two weeks later on December 16 in Christchurch.

Marion welcomed everyone including Jill, who is now the treasurer following Sandra’s retirement from that post. Sandra as group convenor confirmed that the majority of institutes in the Gwenllian group were agreeable to the spring group meeting being on March 23, 2023, in Llanddarog Village Hall.

The minutes of the October meeting were read, approved and signed. The County Newsletter was read and a number of items discussed.

Copies of the Fun Quiz were sold accordingly to baffle and keep our brains active! The show schedule was also interesting, with the theme Treasure Island and more copies ordered.

The resolutions were also of interest having been highlighted in WI Life and voted upon.

Margaret had brought two scrap books for 2005 and 2006 for members to view which reminded them of their younger days!

Celia was congratulated on being a great-grandmother and all best wishes sent.

Members ate and enjoyed selfprepared suppers with an appropriate toast to Christmas and the year to come.

The programme yet to be printed will include ‘ reflexology’, thanks to Wendy who has arranged for a speaker early next year.

Members were reminded that the January and February meetings will be at 2pm, returning to 7pm in March.

With wishes for a happy and blessed Christmas the meeting concluded.
