SMARTPHONE SELECTION
NOTHING PHONE (1)
Uk-based start-up Nothing ruffled a few feathers in the tech world with the introduction of its first smartphone in the summer.
It turned out to be a winning combination of beautifully designed hardware with some innovative twists, and trimmed-down software to make the device as simple to use as possible. It looks very cool with its signature translucent design and multi-light notification system on the back.
A fashionable alternative to the iphone for the cost-conscious.

IPHONE SE
The iphone SE may lack a few of the bells and whistles you find on the latest and greatest phones from Apple, but there’s one thing it isn’t short on – computing power.
The SE sports the A15 Bionic chip – the very same that powers the iphone 13 from last year. That means it’ll remain compatible with IOS software upgrades for years to come. It may look like an iphone 8 on the outside, but the insides are all new.
You don’t get the dual camera system or the Faceid unlocking, but for the price the SE remains a stellar bargain.

NOKIA G60 5G
What if you don’t want or need to spend upwards of a thousand pounds on a phone?
What if all you need is a solid device that can do it all, including 5G speeds, and has a decent camera?
The grand master of mobile Nokia may have hit on something very special with its G60 phone.
It’s a perfectly good Android device that sports a 50MP camera, a battery that lasts two days, fast performances thanks to its Snapdragon 695 5G chipset, and a 120Hz refresh rate on its display for smooth graphics.
Oh, and it’s made from 60% recycled material and costs much, much less than it should.
A great phone and a great price – anyone would be lucky to find this in their stocking on the big day.
