TUMBLE ENJOY TWIN SUCCESS

TUMBLE United made it two wins in four days when defeating visiting Loughor Rovers 4-0 to climb into fourth place in the Premier division of the LTC Mobility Carmarthen­shire League.

It was another terrific performanc­e from Tumble, who turned their pressure into goals for Steffan Howard, Dominic Saunders, Roy Llewelyn and Steve Hewitt.

Ferryside also made it maximum points in four days, with Sol Cresser grabbing a hat-trick in the 6-1 win at home to Pembrey.

Others to get their names on the scoresheet were Liam Lilly, James Yarnton and Robert Hammond.

In contrast, it was defences who dominated in the game between Pengelli United and visiting Ammanford AFC Developmen­t in division two. It ended goalless.

Kidwelly Town win 4-1 at Llandeilo Town. Ryan Esney scored twice for Kidwelly, with Tom Esney and Rhys Matthews also on target.

Garden Village Reserves were in action against Pontarddul­ais Town Reserves, making ground advantage count in a hard-earned 2-1 win thanks to goals by Dan Falvey and Aaron Day.

Seaside Reserves were crowned champions of reserve division one after an 8-0 win at Killay Reserves.

Tray Jenkins, Luke Harries and Alfie Lloyd all scored twice, with Joseph Lloyd and Cody Stephens also netting.

Trailing by a goal at half-time, Caerbryn recovered to beat Dafen A 2-1 at home in reserve division two.

Winger Joe Kinsey equalised after the break, before Kieran Jones blasted the winner in the 85th minute.

Ethan Carmichael of Caerbryn was man of the match.

Also in reserve division two, goals from Steffan Bailey and Jac Jones were enough to secure a 2-0 win for Tumble United at Loughor Rovers A.

There was also action in midweek, with Tumble made to battle for a 1-0 win at home to Premier division rivals Llangennec­h.

With defences on top for most of the 90 minutes it needed something special to break the deadlock, and man of the match Steffan Howard produced it with a screamer in the 70th minute.

Ferryside look determined to finish the season on a high, and produced a first-class performanc­e to beat visiting Abergwili 4-0 at home in division one.

It was comfortabl­e for the seasiders, who drew clear thanks to goals from Robert Hammond, Dan Davies, James Yarnton and Liam Lilly.

FC Carmarthen were equally in control at home to Pembrey, winning a one-sided game 5-0.

On target were Jordan Archer, Gavin Rees, Osian Thomas, Lewis Byng from the penalty spot and Bart Kasperski.

After being 3-0 behind at one point, Pengelli United recovered to share the points in a 4-4 draw at Johnstown. The fightback resulted in goals for Mark Beer, Reilly Lewis, Rhydian Williams and Richard Quinn.

In reserve division two, Caerbryn made it six league wins on the bounce when defeating Loughor Rovers A 5-1 at home.

Striker Fraser Williams gave his team an early lead, before midfielder Sean Howells doubled the advantage before the break.

Williams netted his second early in the second half and completed his hat-trick with the last kick of the game. Sandwiched in between was a goal by winger Kieran Jones.

Stebonheat­h Park is the venue for three cup finals in the next four days, starting this evening (Wednesday) with the showdown between Seaside Reserves and Loughor Rovers Reserves in the Darch Cup (7pm).

The Challenge Cup final between Bwlch Rangers and Llandovery AFC starts at the same time on Friday evening, while on Saturday at 3pm the Senior Cup final features Seaside and Burry Port.
