Not just for kids!

-

Lying back on the masseur’s couch, I sighed happily. My family has been going to Camp Bestival for five years now, and I always make sure I treat myself to a massage in the dedicated wellness area – camping’s hard work, you know!

I used to be a Glasto regular – until I had kids.

Camp Bestival is, in my opinion, the most familyfriendly festie in Britain.

There’s something magical about this place that keeps drawing me back.

Back in the tent, Ian and the kids were getting excited about Fatboy Slim.

We dressed Sam and Savannah in their onesies, ready to jump straight into their sleeping bags once we got back – but Savannah lay down and slept through Fatboy Slim’s entire set while people raved madly all around her! Next morning, I enjoyed a spot of yoga – nothing like a sun salutation to start the day – then the fun began. With circus rides, wood whittling, sword-making, face-painting, trees to climb, hills to roll down, dressing up to do and acts from Tudors on Tour to, er, the Chuckle Brothers to watch, Camp Bestival is nirvana for little ones. But adults aren’t forgotten. It’s foodie heaven, with a farmer’s market as well as some cool food stalls. And all washed down with tasty cocktails! If you’re after a weekend of adult company, Camp Bestival isn’t the festie for you. But if you’re after pure, joyful fun, and want to see a huge smile on your child’s face, then this is perfect We’ll be back this year – the sixth time’s a charm!
