Samadhi, Satori, Deautomization – respectively, a Hindu, Buddhist and Russian expression for an altered state of consciousness. If you knew that already and, more importantly, have experienced any of them, then the Center for the Study on NonSymbolic Consciousness wants to hear from you. Based in Peoria, Illinois, the Center aims to provide scientists studying mystical experiences with people who have actually had them. From shamanic ecstasy to nondual awareness to silence beyond sound, there are many ways for a person to reach a heightened state of consciousness. However, there’s usually no-one else around when it happens.
