O ne day 18 years ago, I was reading in my bedroom. Suddenly, I heard a loud crack. Spinning round, I saw a huge, beautiful orb of flickering light. I stared as the orb materialised into a breastplate made of bone, like those worn by Cherokee warriors. It floated in mid air. Then a red jacket appeared over the breastplate. A head appeared, followed by legs and arms. Soon, the fully formed spirit of a big, strong Cherokee man, a halo of light around him, was standing in front of me. He smiled. ‘The spirit world is real,’ he told me as the sound of Native American music echoed in my ears. ‘You’re ready to move forward and work for us.’ So that’s just what I did! I became a spiritual medium and clairvoyant. Now the Cherokee warrior, who is called Red Flame, is my gatekeeper. He makes sure I’m protected while I’m doing my spiritual work, won’t let any bad spirits come through to harm me. I can’t think of anyone I’d rather have protecting me.
