Will it affect my coil?

Magnetic resonance imaging is safe, but the strong magnets used could affect metal implants. Your coil might contain copper. It doesn’t mean you can’t have a scan, but make sure they know about it. Always report any metal in the body such as metal plates used for fractures, a pacemaker or metal heart valves. Some tattoo ink contains traces of metal, so tell them immediately if you feel any discomfort or heat in your tattoo during the procedure.
