Legacy of love

I’ve been able to carry on their legacy
That plant will be OK because I’ve just seen fairies on it,’ my grandmother Mary Ellen said.
I was 8, didn’t think anything of it. She had special powers and was a gifted medium and healer.
One of my earliest memories of her was when she decided to give me healing. I was a poorly kid, had been complaining that my tummy hurt. Mary Ellen sat me on the sofa and crouched down next to me, cupping my heels in her hands. I felt heat rising up through my body, immediately felt better.
My mum, Mary, was also a spiritual healer, but she never trusted her talent enough to become a professional.
It wasn’t something I considered until 1999 when my brother Lee bought me a book called The Meditation Plan. It was my light bulb moment, when I realised I had inherited the family gift.
I trained for a diploma in crystal healing and studied Reiki. My grandmother, who passed away in 1984, even acted as my spirit guide for a while. Today, I work as a full-time healer and psychic medium and I love the fact I’ve been able to carry on the legacy of my grandmother and mum.
