Ghostly Inspirations Sir Alfred Hitchcock
Cinematic genius, Leytonstoneborn Sir Alfred Hitchcock and his bride Alma moved to Cromwell Road, Kensington in December 1926. They rented the two top floors of this 19th-century house till he moved to America in 1939. The house has a cosy and feel, which the Hitchcocks added to with traditional furniture and fabrics from Liberty. He was knighted in 1979 before his death from kidney failure in April 1980 in California.
