Itchy bum

Q I’ve had an itchy bottom on and off for three months due to threadworms! Can I get rid of them for good? Nikki, 37

AKeep fingernails short, scrub them after a poo, and wear knickers in bed to prevent scratching.

Worm medicine should kill them, but if they keep coming back it could be re-infection, usually from children. Treat the whole family, and mention it to little friends’ parents!
