Seeing is believing

In June 2015, chilling footage emerged of a statue of Jesus Christ nailed to the cross, blinking. The video, filmed in a Mexican church, appeared to show Christ quickly opening his eyes in the middle of a service, then quickly snapping them shut again. Some claimed the video had been tampered with, others said it was an optical illusion. Yet paranormal investigator Ivan Escamilla, from the website where the video first appeared, said it had been examined for weeks by over 20 specialists – including priests – who’d found no proof that it wasn’t genuine. Believers have hailed it a miracle.
