My staggering £ £123,849 23 WIN!

Now it’s holidays and treats all round

- By Sue Duffy, 56, S Shields

Last summer my daughter, 30, sat me down.

‘Mum, I’ve something to tell you,’ she smiled.

‘I’m pregnant!’ My hubby Duane, 56, and I were over the moon.

We’d only just become grandparents – after our son, 32, and his partner had a boy. And now another baby!

After celebrating at the local summer fete, Duane and I came home and put our feet up. I decided to relax with a few games of bingo.

A friend had recommended Chat Mag Bingo years earlier.

Before that, I’d been a regular at the bingo hall, but then I’d got a new job, and I wasn’t often free in the evenings.

Online bingo meant I could play when it suited me.

My favourites were the link bingo games, played across different rooms, with more opportunities to win.

Recently, as I was off work one afternoon, I decided to enjoy a few games and there was a link game coming up...

Before that, I decided to play a game of 90-ball Bingo and bought six tickets for 25p each.

Then I sat back to enjoy myself as the game got going.

More and more of my numbers were being marked off and I got two lines, winning nearly £9.

Great, I thought as I edged closer to the full house.

Then my last number popped up – a full house!

I thought I’d won a game jackpot of about £30 – plus the £9 I’d won on the two lines.

But that wasn’t the amount flashing on my screen. It was £123,849!

My heart pounded as folk in the chat rooms went wild.

It suddenly clicked. I’d won the progressive jackpot – when you get the full house within 38 or less ball calls.

I’d noticed that it was over £100,000, only then I’d become engrossed in my winning lines, and thought we’d had too many ball calls. But I’d won it… Once the game is over, because I’d bought 6 tickets, I could play a bonus challenge to win extra tickets for the next game.

My hands were shaking from the excitement. It felt unreal.

But, within a few minutes, my account balance had skyrocketed by £123,849.

Still trembling, I phoned Duane at work – but he was on a course and didn’t answer.

Then I phoned my daughter

– no answer.

My son was at work, too. But I needed to tell someone. So I started rabbiting away to our Labradoodle – he was the first to know about my win! It still hadn’t sunk in when my daughter called back. ‘I’ve won over £100,000 on the bingo!’

My heart pounded as folk in the chat rooms went wild!

I cried. She didn’t believe me at first, then… ‘I’ll be right over!’ she gasped. She was nearly nine months pregnant, on maternity leave. Then Duane called. ‘What’s wrong?’ he cried, having seen the missed calls.

I don’t think he believed me until he got home and saw it for himself. I texted my son, too, and he came over.

It didn’t sink in till my daughter confirmed I wasn’t seeing things on screen.

Chat Mag Bingo told me that my win would be in my bank the next day!

It was such a huge amount, I thought very carefully about how to spend it. I gave my son and daughter a lump sum each.

Just a few weeks later, we celebrated again when our granddaughter was born. Then I booked a holiday in Lanzarote for Duane’s birthday.

The rest of the winnings are still in the bank, ready to spoil the grandkids.

So big thanks to Chat Mag Bingo for my amazing big win!
