Road-rage blame game
Tracie Andrews stabbed her fiance Lee Harvey more than 40 times with a penknife – then blamed his death on a road-rage attack. But a number of signs at a police Press conference meant Andrews’ body language outed her as a callous murderer. Andrews was jailed for life, but released in 2011. Cliff says: ‘There are six indicators she’s lying. She says, “I just tried to stop the bleeding really.” Why qualify the statement with “really”? We see a slight shoulder shrug from her left shoulder. Single-sided shoulder shrugs are below the level of consciousness. People don’t know they’re doing it and that’s why it’s a reliable indicator of deception. We hear a volume drop, she swallows hard, she pauses and the pitch of her voice goes up.’
