Q Is a gluten-free diet healthier? My doctor’s ruled out coeliac disease, but I still get cramps if I eat gluten. Tiana, 30

A Coeliac disease means your bowel can’t tolerate gluten. It can cause an irritable bowel (IBS) flare for some people, even if they don’t have coeliac disease. Otherwise, there’s no health advantage in avoiding gluten.
