Then add 2 seeded, sliced red pep­pers and cook for an­other 5 min. 2 Stir 300ml hot beef stock into the pan and re­duce the heat. Cover and let the casse­role sim­mer gently for 20 min un­til the sausages are fully cooked through and the pep­per and onions soft. 3 In a small bowl, mix to­gether 1tbsp corn­flour with 2tbsp wa­ter. Add this mix­ture to the still-sim­mer­ing pan and stir well un­til the sauce has thick­ened. Serve the sausage casse­role with a help­ing of mashed potato and peas or steamed cab­bage.
