Bingo to Benidorm!

Thanks to my £1,505 jackpot, I’m heading back to my favourite holiday destination

- By Gail Ritchie, 51, from Aberdeen

Remember me?

I featured in Chat magazine in 2014.

I’d won a whopping £1,000 in the Chat Mag Bingo Sapphire room. What a win! After that, I’d jetted off to my favourite holiday destination – Benidorm.

My partner Ray, now 64, and me had enjoyed sunning ourselves for two weeks.

All thanks to Chat Mag Bingo!

I continued to play once I was back home.

On Friday nights, we’d sit in front of the soaps and I’d sometimes play a bit of bingo.

I loved the buzz of the site and having a chat to other players.

On 30 June this year, it was just another Friday night.

Watching TV with Ray, I decided to switch on my tablet for a game of bingo. Why not?! I clicked on the 75-ball Bingo Lounge room, my new favourite place to play.

The tickets were 10p each and I bought 18 for the next game.

There was a brilliant promo on where if you bought two tickets, you got two free!

Bargain. I watched as all the balls were called.

Holding my breath, I realised the last number on one of my cards had been called. The card changed colour.

Keeping quiet, just in case I was wrong, I held on tight to the tablet. Ray didn’t notice a thing! First I’d won £200 on the full house – and, because I’d won the full house in a set number of ball calls, I had won the progressive jackpot as well. In total, I’d won £1,705! I thought winning my first big jackpot was a one-off! ‘Ray!’ I squealed. Looking at me like I was crazy, he took the tablet.

‘Let me have a look then,’ he said, peering at the screen.

I couldn’t sit still, jumping around the room.

‘Oh, my goodness!’ he shouted, coming to his feet.

Suddenly, whatever was on TV was not so interesting.

‘I can’t believe it,’ I gasped,

Being a member is great... for all these fantastic reasons I kept checking my balance, in case I’d got it wrong

stunned. I’d won… again!

I kept double-checking my balance, in case I’d got it wrong. But I hadn’t. Enjoying another glass of red wine, we clinked glasses.

‘I’d love another holiday,’ I told Ray.

He didn’t have to say anything – the look on his face said it all.

Benidorm had become our home from home.

Soon, my win was in my bank account.

We haven’t set a date yet, but we are already really excited to get back to Benidorm.

Sun, beaches, swimming pool – what more could you want? We can’t wait and I can’t believe it’s all thanks to my bingo win.

I can’t wait to hit the beach!
