A 30-year-old Colombian woman swallowed $7,000 worth of $100 bills during a row with her husband, in a bid to stash cash she’d saved for a holiday. Doctors surgically removed 57 of the notes.

Mohammed Abad, 44, from Edinburgh, had groundbreaking surgery to fit an 8in bionic penis after a childhood accident left him without one. Losing his virginity to sex worker Charlotte Rose, who waived her fee, Abad has received dozens of offers of sex and even a porn deal.
Weirdest... suckling
A pig farmer in Lima, Peru did the unthinkable live on a national news channel. Speaking to a reporter about heavy floods in the area, with a piglet in her arms, she lifted her top and begun breastfeeding the animal. Onlookers were baffled and the journalist scarpered. So many questions...

Daredevil PaulAntoine Gauchon, 28, hung his washing from a line 3,215ft high. Suspended across a gorge in Norway, it’s higher than the tallest building in the world. Don’t worry – he was harnessed. Look away if you’re afraid of heights!

Single Lynne Gollogly marked her 40th by getting married – to herself! Always wanting a wedding, but not having found Mr Right, she went the whole nine yards – white dress, flowers, even a honeymoon to Rome!

A hair-raising swimsuit, featuring a man’s chest, by clothing brand Beloved Shirts, went on sale this summer. With a print of a hairy man’s torso, plus hairy back and shoulders on the reverse, it can be yours for $49.95 (around £38)!
Weirdest... weather
A bag of pork joints, weighing 6kg, rained on the roof of a Florida home at 4am one Saturday. Resident Travis Adair was woken by a ‘big bang’ and suspected it fell from a plane. A label gave the name of a swine owner 170 miles away. And pigs will fly!
Weirdest... lookalike
Indonesian photographer Tanto Yensen captured this priceless moment, as he watched two snails slither up his pet frog and rest perfectly on its head to recreate an iconic Star Wars heroine. Uncanny... We’re sure you can guess who!
Weirdest... first date
A woman got stuck between two windows and had to be rescued by the fire brigade, after throwing her poo out the window! She was on a first date when she realised the loo wouldn’t flush. Wonder if there was a second date..?
Weirdest... meth-head
A jungle python, found during a police raid of a methamphetamine lab, was sent to rehab for six weeks, at the NSW wildlife care centre near Sydney. The reptile absorbed the drug through its skin, causing addiction and erratic behaviour. He’s been clean and sober since.
