Olivia Stanton in September will be followed by Cecilia Charlton in October and Fred Coppin in November in a busy autumn season coming up at Chichester’s Candida Stevens Gallery at 12 Northgate

Candida said: “This autumn we are excited to be producing solo shows for three artists. Olivia Stanton featured in our first gallery exhibition in 2015 and was the first artist to have a solo show in the Chichester gallery. The others, Cecilia Charlton and Fred Coppin, are new to the gallery.

“In March Olivia Stanton had an exhibition in association with Green & Stone Gallery in London, and whilst it did open briefly, it had to close prematurely for obvious reasons so was not the solo show she deserved. We therefore now open it in our Chichester gallery with a few new pieces in the mix.”

“We welcome visitors by appointment or to drop in during opening hours.”

The exhibition continues until October 3.

Cecilia Charlton – Aurora runs from October 10November 7.

“London-based American artist Cecilia Charlton creates technicolour, highlypatterned textile works that reference personal and cultural histories while questioning notions of medium by bringing together traditions of painting, craft, abstraction, and folk art.”

The exhibition is followed by Fred Coppin – Towards The Light (November 14-December 18).

“Fred Coppin captures an eternal sense of optimism in his work through a distinctive combination of amplified colour and playful forms. Exploring an eclectic range of unassuming everyday objects, Coppin’s paintings are tied together by an uplifting impulse to dissect, exaggerate and reassemble the world around us into its most hopeful state. Fred Coppin’s new work for November 2020 is a look at the perfect daydream.”
