Save money on entry to The Garden Show

The Garden Show makes a return to Firle Place on October 16-18, with readers able to take advantage of a special ticket offer

-

Firle Place is set to bloom as the popular Garden Show makes a return to the popular venue.

Following on the heels of two very successful shows already this year at Loseley and Stansted Parks, this year’s event has been able to go ahead thanks to the hard work of organisers who have made changes in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Showground layouts have been altered ensuring physical distancing and other safety regulations have been implemented at Firle Place so you may be confident that everyone’s well-being and good health comes first.

Although there will be necessary changes the essence remains the same: ‘to support the smaller business and have a good day out in a beautiful location’

The Garden Show at Firle Place, which takes place on October 16-18 is now in its 13th year, albeit later in the year than originally planned. Although there will be less plants than in the Spring, it is indeed the perfect time for planting trees, shrubs, bulbs, winter flowering plants as well as finding indoor plants to enhance the winter home.

There will still be plenty of garden related goods, artisan designs, homeware products, garden furniture, sundries, fashion accessories and the most delicious harvest festival of country foods … so it’s a good chance to do some early Christmas shopping.

The show specifically encourages the smaller businesses and the majority of stands are from the local area. New for 2020 ‘The Studio Shops’ showcasing and demonstrating unique artisan and design work.

Apart from the extensive selection of retail companies at the Show there are many other attractions including expert advice from ‘The Gardening Clinic’ from One-To-one Garden Design.

On Sunday, October 18 the show welcomes back Ben Cross from Crosslands Nursery who will be extolling the ‘British Cut Flower Industry’ … ‘British Flowers Rock’!

There are plenty of activities on site to keep all the family occupied including The ‘Giant Tombola’, a chance to win amazing prizes donated by The Garden Show exhibitors in aid of ‘Hands of Hope’ the show’s chosen charity (www. hohcharity.co.uk).

There will also be an opportunity to hang a Wish on The Wish Tree and have fun with the children’s entertainer Crazee Hazee as they learn circus skills and enjoy watching his hilarious Punch and Judy shows!

There will be ongoing Artisan demonstrations along with musical entertainment from ‘The Jazz Trio,’ who will be wandering the gardens delighting all with their evocative music of times past and Lianna Haynes will wow with her vintage songs in the refreshment area … all this and so much more to enjoy … including Huxley Birds of Prey who will thrill spectators as they soar to the skies.

A great day out for the whole family. Life is good in your Autumn Garden!
