Daisy shirts are worn for big win

-

Chichester faced south sax ons 1s away in Hastings, for their second game of the league.

The team wor their Daisy memorial shirts to remember Daisy Strange, a 25 year old, hockey loving girl who sadly passed away during lockdown.

From the starting whistle, Chichester dominated scoring two goals within the first ten minutes through Georgie Mctear scored the first goal and sally Bradley.

Saxons then managed to win a short corner to make it 2-1.

There was some patient passing around the back from Pien dokter, Leonickde lange, Emma Bennison and Megan Thomas (two-feet), creating space which then allowed Bella Festa to make it 3-1.

The second half saw chi chester show excellent strength and perseverance as Saxons began to get feisty and tired. Leading to 16’s quickly being shut down by lot tie green le es, Laura Hantrais and Bradley. Transfers were made securely through the middle by co- captain de mel zap eake and attacking opportunities were created allowing Hantrais to take advantage of her speed and run rings around Saxons defence. Two more fabulous goals from Co-captain greenlees and mctear, but unfortunately sax ons also managed to score another goal, dollying the ball into the back of the net. In the final minutes Mctear made a unstoppable run into the attacking D, and slapping the back board securing her hat-trick and the Chichester Win.

A memorable game played by Chichester securing a 6-3 win and dominating the match. Man of the match going to Georgie Mctear for her hat trick and superb performance.
