WHEEL MEET AGAIN… AT THE CLASSIC MOTOR SHOW! !
This year’s Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show with Discovery will be a little different from previous years; however the organisers are keen to emphasise how they’re bringing a show to the classic car community that we all know and love in a safe and controlled environment. With coronavirus having ravaged the classic motoring calendar, the organisers of the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, with Discovery, are pulling out all the stops to do everything possible to increase the chances of the November event happening in 2020 once the government gives its approval.
Measures include extending show opening times, staggered entry times with visitors able to select their desired slot as well as what hall they would like to see first. All visitors and exhibitors will undergo mandatory temperature checks and there will be a queuing system to enter halls, as well as a one-way system. The showwill feature wider aisles to accommodate one and two-way directional traffic and hand sanitising stations will be dotted all over the show, plus there will be enhanced cleaning of the site throughout the weekend.
The aim is to put on as normal as possible a show, despite all the precautions - the show brings together a wider variety of classic car and bike clubs, with a healthy range of iconic vehicles on display across several halls at Birmingham’s NEC. As well as admiring these amazing vehicles, you’ll have the opportunity to shop from a spectacular indoor autojumble and specialist traders to source parts and tools for your maintenance and restoration needs.
Visitors can expect the usual laughs and live content with a host of motoring celebrities on the Discovery Live Stage and you can hear from motoring experts and learn a thing or two on how best to maintain these classic beauties and cast your vote for winning position of the Lancaster Insurance Pride of Ownership. Likewise you can explore the classics helping Sporting Bears raise money for some brilliant charities.
