DOING THE CAN CAN

Ken Turnock has come up with an ingenious solution to his problem obtaining silencers for a Yamaha XS1100, and feels it might help other owners. He says that Motad manufacture an M11Y R/H silencer for their four-into-one system at just under £100. Ken says he’ll buy two and get Martin at Max Torque Cans (01704 893337) to modify one to fit on the left and fabricate a link pipe to balance the two, which should cost around £150. He’ll then get the silencers coated in ceramic by Cam Coat in Warrington. Sounds like a plan, Ken; let us know how it turns out.
