T he cham­pi­onship line for ’67’ is what Tri­umph dubbed its cat­a­logue of mod­els of­fered in the States 50 years ago. In the lat­ter half of the ’60s, the com­pany was on a roll, en­joy­ing high-pro­file suc­cess in Amer­i­can mo­tor­cy­cle sport, so it was no idle boast.

Dave Smith has been far from idle for the last 20 years, too. Apart from a cou­ple of other dis­trac­tions, in the form of a 1970 Bon­nie and a Rick­man Metisse with a 500cc Tri­umph mo­tor, com­plet­ing the set of 1967 Amer­i­can-mar­ket mod­els has held his fo­cus for the best part of two decades. And here they are – all seven of them.
