NORWEGIAN GOOD

-

When I was a teenager in the late ’80s, I bought a 1979 Yamaha RS100. I had this bike until my brother-in-law showed me a picture of his old Yamaha LS2. The decision was made in a fraction of a second – ‘That’s the bike I’m going to ride!’ A few weeks later, I was the owner of my first LS2. However, I couldn’t afford to make it as good as the bike I had hoped for, so I promised myself that one day I’d buy another bike to live up to my dreams. It would have extra chrome, some minor upgrades of the frame and a luggage rack on the back from a Norwegian Tempo motorcycle (pretty much every little bike and moped in Norway had this in ’70s and ’80s, so for Norwegian enthusiasts it’s the thing to have on 50cc and 100cc bikes from that time).

In 2008 I bought this 1974 LS2, more or less as a wreck – it was completely unuseable. After a restoration that has lasted almost 10 years, it is now in very good condition. Every little part in the engine is new, while the rest of the bike is brand new or completely restored. Finally, I’ve got the bike I dreamed of! TROND SUNDBY, NORWAY
