ALLY PALLY
Historic machines, famous stars and indoor racing at Ally Pally this September
New bash in London
Grab your diary, turn to the end of summer and break out the quill. There’s a brand-new show happening at London’s famous Alexandra Palace on September 22 and 23 – and it’s quite unlike anything else on this year’s calendar.
Actually, calling it a show is an injustice – the new Devitt MCN Ally Pally Show and Supersprint is most definitely an event, and one packed with variety. The famous halls and the grounds will be stuffed with bike displays, with dealers and retailers offering everything from essential spares to the latest riding clobber – and there’ll be an avenue of 30 of the finest custom bikes arranged by CB’S sister title Built. Bring earplugs for the exotic metal in the fire-up paddock, and keep them in for demonstration runs of both classic and modern on the indoor track. Yes, that’s right – inside.
And it’s not just demos. Heading the bill is the Supersprint. The world’s only indoor motorcycle sprint, it’ll put celebrity riders head-to-head in the famous building, with bikes ranging from historic to modern competition machinery. The names involved reads like a who’s who of two-wheel stars, with John Mcguinness, Carl Fogarty, Chris Walker, Jamie Whitham and Dougie Lampkin.
Adult tickets are just £17, or £15 if you’re over 65. Children under 15 are free. There are also extra-special VIP tickets available (£30 adult, £15 kids) that include an exclusive track walk and a meet-and-greet with the riders, plus a 10% discount off event catering and a special MCN goodie bag. Located between Muswell Hill and Wood Green, the Ally Pally is easy to find on your bike. Or jump on public transport. Visit mcnallypallyshow.co.uk for more details.
