Watch out for corrosion around the chassis rails, particularly around the subframe mounting points. Also inspect the suspension strut points.

A-posts are notorious for rot so check their entire length. Also, look extremely carefully around the boot flfloor area.

Like the MGB, the Triumph TR7 has a complex sill structure, comprising an inner, outer and centre unit, all of which makes it exceedingly diffifificult to repair. Beware!

Check the pop-up headlamps. If neither rises to the occasion, faulty wiring is the likely culprit.
