ÔThe Goodwood Revival is a marvellous event. But its success has pushed up prices which can make it difficult for many classic car enthusiasts to get tickets and hotel accommodation. So why not dress up and head for The 1940s Relived at Brooklands instead? ItÕs much the same flavour (albeit more tightly focused on one decade) and takes place in a similarly evocative location. There are vintage stalls, re-enactments and, of course, some wonderful visiting and resident machines on show. The right crowd and no crowding! Plus youÕll be spoilt for choice for B&Bs and hotels.Õ
