Upgrading Ford’s Essex V6, Pinto (SOHC) and Kent crossflow engines to a larger carburettor is now easier, with the introduction of Burton’s single DCOE/DHLA carburettor adaptor manifold. The bespoke casting not only converts the mounting base to the suit the larger part, it relocates the carburettor for sidedraught operation, avoiding bonnet clearance issues for many applications. Covering an inevitably large range of Ford, specialist and kit cars, the manifold is offered as part number FV450 and is available now for £89.95.
