ith its seats looking great following repairs at Aldridge Trimming a mere 21 years after the car was vandalised, my Austin Cambridge now has an equally creasefree new MoT certificate, its first in five years.

The old beast was submitted to star local Peterborough garage Ellingworth’s for the MoT, and a brake stripdown plus a couple of wheel cylinders were all that was needed to pass.

It is a joy to be back at the wheel of the Cambridge, which at one time used to ferry me happily from Hove to work in Crawley. My love of BMC mid-range Farinas has never diminished.
