CELEBRATE YOUR HEROES

NEC Classic Motor Show to remember the greats

-

CCW can exclusively reveal that this year’s Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show will have a heroes and heroines theme – with Remembrance Sunday being the driving force behind it.

Organisers of the 2016 event are now urging clubs and exhibitors to shortlist the individuals and machines that have inspired them and to pay tribute to them at the NEC on 11-13 November. Vehicles from two World Wars will be one central feature, along with the men and women who created and used them.

Dan Nwaokolo, show director, explains the theme: ‘Everyone has a hero. And with it being Remembrance weekend, we simply had to recognise the brave men and women who have served their country, so it was the perfect choice.’

The 250 exhibiting clubs will be encouraged to fulfill the show’s theme in whatever way they want. Some clubs have say they’ll be celebrate the leaders of their chosen marque, others the people who changed motoring history by setting a world record, and several the designers of a revolutionary car.

Richard Morley, operations director at Lancaster Insurance adds: ‘We’re really excited about this year’s theme as it gives real scope for clubs and exhibitors to make it their own and pay tribute to their own heroes and heroines.’

?? ?? Remembrance Sunday will be the last day of this year’s Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show.
