A failed IACV – Idle Air Control Valve – is a common cause of starting and running problems regardless of the car, particularly if previous owners have tried to work around or diagnose the fault without realising which component has failed.

Webcon has introduced a new direct replacement for one of the most common applications, in Vauxhall/GM EFi systems used in cars as diverse as the Cavalier and Astra through to later model Lada and FSO vehicles. Replacing GM part 17102739, Webcon WID064 is under £30, making replacement an affordable option before delving into the rest of the EFi componentry. Webcon UK 01932 787100 www.web
