1965 MGB EX234 prototype
It’s a case of where to start with this unique prototype. One family owned since being sold by the factory, 6400 miles from new and of course being an interesting part of MG history. Designed in-house but built on a rolling chassis sent to Pininfarina, it featured styling cues found in later Fiat and Alfa cars, and despite being smaller, boasted a bigger interior than the MGB. As with so many ‘what-ifs’ in BL history the B replacement never fulfilled its role (the TR7 got the go-ahead instead) and was bought by MG dealer Syd Beer, forming part of an octagon-collection.
