Aston Martin Owners’ Club – John Purser

-

‘Unlike Jaguar and Alvis, Aston Martin has helpful ‘history’ in this department – there was a small run of DB4 GT Zagatos, Sanction 2 and Sanction 3, built by RS Williams. Sanction’ means ‘ratify’ or ‘authorise’, which is what Aston Martin did. As these were built using the remains of DB4s they can be driven on the road and are actually considered as historic cars.

‘The important point is that virtually all of these cars have a transparent history, being well known to the Club and Trust through the years.’
