Great Standards for the Monte Rally
Ireally enjoyed reading Andrew Roberts’ article about the 1959 Monte Carlo line-up at Dover ( The Way We
Were, CCW, 1 February). The Standard van is the official Michelin service van. It must have been a jolly sight in its eye-catching yellow corporate livery. No wonder it features in so many rally photos of the period.
