THE INTERNATIONAL MG & TRIUMPH SPARES DAY THIS SUNDAY

If you’re looking for bits for your MGB or Triumph Stag, then you can’t afford to miss this packed one-day celebration of both manufacturers’ celebrated classics.

More than 20 clubs are taking part in the 19 February event at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire, and classic specialists from across the UK will be bringing along spares to the show’s autojumble and trade areas. The show’s opening hours are 9.30am-4pm, although we’d recommend arriving early if you’re on the hunt for particular parts for your Abingdon or Canley classic.

MG and Triumph-only parking will be laid on for showgoers, although we did spot a few other classics sneaking in at last year’s event. This area is usually one of the day’s highlights, and where the event lives up to its ‘International’ billing – in previous years CCW has bumped into classic owners who’ve come from as far afield as the Benelux countries and Scandinavia in search of classic spares that can often prove to be elusive outside of the UK.

Event director Tom Siddall says advance ticket sales are up 20 per cent compared to last year’s event, and that there’s still time to book yours through the show’s website: ‘We are all looking forward to The MG & Triumph Spares Day 2017. More than 200 traders will be exhibiting at this year’s event supported by a fantastic array of car clubs.

‘ The event will spread over three exhibition halls with a dedicated MG and Triumph parking area set aside for those arriving in their pride and joy.’
