1966 AUSTIN A60 CAMBRIDGE

SOLD £1100

-

A worthy candidate for saving, ACA’s A60 would probably need a good going-through before it could be released back on the road, having last seen the blacktop in 2015. A true ’20ft’ car, it looked reasonable from a distance but getting nearer revealed that it wasn’t quite as tidy as you might initially have thought.

The wings and doors needed tidying up and the sills even more so, begging the obvious question, then, of just how good it might be underneath.

The interior – such a key selling point of these friendly saloons – wasn’t terribly good either, but a good clean would improve things.

Sensibly offered without reserve, the sum paid shows how strong these cars’ following still is.
