Supercar Megabuild

Wednesday 22 Feb @4PM, National Geographic Channel This episode of Supercar Megabuild isn’t one for purists. Former Boyzone star turned professional drifter Shane Lynch challenges the crew (author Ralph Hosier and experienced engineer Ranen Rudra) to build him a Rolls-Royce drift car.

For those not in the know, drifting is the art of racing sideways and it’s easier to list what wasn’t changed in order for the Roller to be transformed into a drifter. The 6.75-litre engine remained, but pretty much everything else – including the suspension and brakes – was modified in some way.

Essential viewing if you find the idea of a Silver Shadow smoking sideways on opposite lock appealing.
