THE CCW VIEW
The Giardiniera – whether it’s a Fiat-badged one from Turin or one of Autobianchi’s Milan-made models – offers up a lot of fun in a very small package. Many of the cars on the market are left-handdrive cars sourced from Italy, but don’t let that put you off; the car is so small and easy to place that you’ll hardly notice which side you’re on. It’s an excitable, characterful car and the estate bodywork and more accommodating interior make this one easier to live with on a daily basis than its saloon sibling. Even the name makes you smile – we challenge you to say ‘Autobianchi Giardiniera’ without revelling in all those rolling Italian vowels. You can’t help but love it.
