A traceable past usually adds confidence to would-be bidders, and this 1958 XK150SE fits the bill admirably, having been in one family’s ownership for 25 years. The 150 successfully bridged the gap between its 120 and 140 predecessors and E-type successor, and it enjoys a strong following whether in fixed-head form, as this one is, or drophead guise. DVCA’s car is presented in what, to many, is the ‘right’ combination of red with chrome wire wheels and cream interior. The vendor is a body repair specialist who bought the car in 1992 and carried out a major restoration, with some panels being replaced and the chassis repaired.
