1962 GAZ VOLGA M-21
Towering over other cars in the Brightwells’ sale hall, the big GAZ was a character-laden saloon that was smart enough inside and out, but left scope for the next owner to improve if they were so inclined. The body had been restored in the late 1990s and the colour change from black to turquoise probably increased its reselling prospects. The cream interior was serviceable but anyone wanting to get some serious miles under its wheels might want to consider a re-trim. Despite its two-month long MoT, this was a full-on, Cold War delightski to look at.
