‘ Very few of these cars are kept standard’

Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - Living With Classics -

‘Most owners prefer to keep things looking standard aside from RS bumpers and wheels, but engine swaps are common. It helps that the engine bay is big enough to accommodate pretty much anything; the 24-valve 2.9-litre Granada Cosworth V6 is popular but the engines are getting expensive. Other common mods include an XR4x4 limited-slip diff and posher-spec interior, although these are bodystyle-specific, and leathertrimmed hatchbacks are rare.’
