‘Engine swaps are the most popular mods’

Mike is chairman of the Vauxhall VX4/90 Drivers’ Club (vx490driversclub.co.uk). ‘As with most clubs, ours has a mixture of original and modified cars and our members use their FDs for all sorts of things. Engine swaps along with transmission and brake upgrades are the most popular changes; one member has built a 2300bhp drag racer. Our club forum is a wealth of expertise but our Facebook group contains plenty of technical experience too.’
