The Double Twelve is a terrific blend of classics and competition. Speed trials, driving tests, and attempts at the fearsome test hill are all part of the action, plus there are concours events to enjoy on both days. This year is particularly special, though, because the first day sees the grand re-opening of the finishing straight, 110 years to the day since the track originally opened. A re-enactment of the original opening parade will take place and there will be taxiing runs from historic aircraft. Don’t miss it. www.brooklandsmuseum.com
