Classic Car Weekly (UK)

THE CCW VIEW

-

This Rover is a special mix of the best of pre-war styling with some extremely useful post-war modifications making it much more usable than it may look. This car is representative of, and an ambassador for, the best of its era, a sense of a time when things were done properly and vehicles were made to last. There are none of the wasteful namby- pamby plastic-laden aspects of today’s inferior machinery and they make you sit up straight when you’re driving, which is just as it should be. No wonder the company was able to succinctly sum the P3 up thus, back in period: ‘One of Britain’s fine cars – now made finer.’ Prices start at just £5k for usable examples, so it’s a lot of classic for the money.
