Mazda museum in Germany
The first Mazda museum outside Japan has opened in Augsburg, Germany.
Housing an exhibition curated by a local family-owned Mazda dealership, the museum opened to the public on 13 May and highlights 100 years of unconventional Mazda design. The 45 models on show are a fraction of the Frey family’s personal collection of over 120 vehicles. Highlights include a 1967 Cosmo Sport, a 1969 Luce R130 and the company’s first massproduced passenger car, the 1960 Mazda R360, with more models to be rotated into exhibition in the future.
