1929 Humber 16/50 Tickford
As imposing as any same-era Rolls-Royce, it’s easy to forget that Humber was an independent, upmarket car maker supplying the well-off with well-built, comfortable motors before its takeover by Rootes. This Tickford-bodied all-weather saloon is thought to have been sold off Humber’s 1929 Motor Show stand and was restored in 1979 at a cost of £15,000. It has since been dry-stored and needs some re-commissioning, but if bought within estimate, the purchaser is doing well.
