FIRST JAGUAR E-TYPE OUTSHINES PIPPA
Pippa Middleton goes to her wedding reception in 77 RW
The first production Jaguar E-type stole the show at one of Britain’s poshest weddings last weekend. Financier James Matthews drove his bride Pippa Middleton (The Duchess of Cambridge’s sister) the short distance from the church in Berkshire to the reception at the Middleton’s manor in 77 RW on 20 May.
The Series 1 3.8-litre car was on loan from Jaguar Heritage, which has it on long-term loan from owner Michael Kilgannon. It was one of two launch cars at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1961, and is the oldest surviving Jaguar E-type roadster.
